Approach to Arts and Literature: Fiction Novel
Hello, everyone, it's been a long time since we meet again! And for today, I would like to recommend some fiction novels to read when you have the time. There are three novels that I would recommend you guys to read, especially if you're just starting with novels, now let's get into it!
ᯓ★ The Hobbit
"The Hobbit" is a children's fantasy novel by J.R.R. Tolkien. It was published on 21 September 1937 to wide critical acclaim. The book remains popular and is recognized as a classic in children's literature. The Hobbit is set within Tolkien's Middle-earth and follows the quest of home-loving Bilbo Baggins, the titular hobbit, to win a share of the treasure guarded by a dragon named Smaug. Bilbo's journey takes him from his light-hearted, rural surroundings into more sinister territory.
The Hobbit is an introduction to the famous series of The Lord of The Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien where it's also took the same place in The Middle-earth. All of the series of The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit are already adapted into a movie where it's also get the same recognition as the novels itself.
ᯓ★ Goosebumps
Goosebumps is a horror fiction novel series made by R.L. Stine. One of the most famous story that lead to another is Night of the Living Dummy. It was the seventh book in the original Goosebumps book series, and the first book in the Living Dummy saga. It was first published in 1993. It was later followed up by Night of the Living Dummy II in 1995 and Night of the Living Dummy III in 1996.
Both the original and the Classic Goosebumps cover illustrations depict Slappy the Dummy evilly staring at the reader, his mouth agape at a diagonal angle.
The series of this novels are also already adapted to movie, even though not all of the series but the movie quite included almost all of the monsters that R.L. Stine wrote, even Slappy himself. The novels also got their game adaptation where the main character have to escape out of R.L. Stine's studio and to avoid all the monsters he created through his books.
ᯓ★ Sherlock Holmes
Sherlock Holmes is a fictional consulting detective in London 1880-1914 created by Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes, master of disguise, reasoned logically to deduce clients' background from their first appearance. He used fingerprints, chemical analysis, and forensic science.
There are four books of Sherlock Holmes that tells different cases each book, namely: A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of The Four, The Hound of The Baskervilles and The Valley of Fear. Sherlock Holmes is a really well-detailed novels, from the story telling to each plot of the characters are all well written by the author. All of the series of Sherlock Holmes is already available as a series to watch with the same cases and stories that were written in the novels starring the famous British actor, Benedict Cumberbatch. Sherlock Holmes was also adapted into comics with different cases and Benedict Cumberbatch as the main character that fills the comics.
